The purpose of these pages is NOT to provide a definitive catalog of films but to provide a comparitive contextualisation, with which, to consider further work.
I used to think culture was something mystical, something spiritual; intangible. Until I noticed it disappearing.
Culture is a context for knowledge; it provides a structure, shortcuts, connections between the past, the present and the future. It is not an abstract luxury but a dynamic essential element of being human.
The films here form a part of an essential western education: A perspective in which to consider all data/knowledge - in an Information Age.
This site will not have every film made, millions will be missed but every film here is worth watching.
Every film here will leave you a little richer.
